HAPPY SPRING!

Photos from the end of March and April

In Science, we  are learning about the weather.  Here we are working with partners taking the temperature of water, and learning how to read and use a thermometer.

CREATING 3-D Shapes

PPHONICS UNIT.... preparing for our class mascot's graduation.  We have been working on growing our "vowel power, and our mascot has too.   During this unit we wrote notes to Mabel.

MABELS GRADUATION.... We made signs for her as she " marched " to Pomp and Circumstance music. In the end she tossed her cap in the air!  Students had fun cheering her on. We have been working on trying to include a vowel in each syllable when we write, and trying to include the blends.

Searching for insects in the garden!

STEAM CHALLENGE!

Students had a challenge to create a device to protect themself from the sun using limited supplies.  They were very creative.  They also worked on revising their design to make it work the way they cared to.
